Saab RB05A
Model #KT-K026

Skill Level 3:
Skill Level 3 kits have a more complex design and require more time and patience. They aren't too hard but they are challenging. If you've built rockets before you'll enjoy these.

Recovery Medthod: Parachute

Length: 31.25
Diameter: 2.6
Weight: 15oz

Approx Altitude: Up to 1500ft!

Compatible Motors: D12-3, E15-4, E30-7, RMS F24-4

Released from its pylon under the wing of a Swedish "Viggen" fighter, the RB 05A uses active radar guidance to home in on ground targets more than 20 miles away, and is claimed to be effective against certain airborne targets (helicopters?) as well. The RB 05A is capable of reaching speeds in excess of Mach 2.5. SAAB also used this airframe for an experimental, television guided version, the RB 05B, but the Swedish government chose to buy Maverick instead, and the RB 05B never went into service.

Big and beautiful! The SAAB RB 05A is a clean, streamlined rocket that achieves stunning altitudes despite its large size. At 31 1/4" in length, this aerodynamic missile uses powerful "D", "E", or "F" motors for liftoff, and the kit includes our tough 18" octagonal Mylar parachute for gentle recovery. Add this gorgeous rocket to your International Collection today. The SAAB RB 05A is a historic missile that looks as good on the display stand as it does in flight!
